All human life is made in the image of God and is therefore has dignity and is worthy of respect. 62% of all women who have their babies aborted later either regret their decisions or felt like they really had no other choice. They were coerced. We must fight against the factors pushing women to destroy their unborn babies. For the Pro-Life causes to move forward, it is vital that citizens be informed about what their elected officials are doing. There must be accountability. Calling yourself Pro-Life should not be a matter of political fashion to be put on at election time and discarded after getting into office. I fought to add Pro-Life legislation to the list of legislative priorities in the Republican House Caucus. I will continue to fight to protect all of our citizens from being denied their life without due process.
Pregnant women considering abortion need the support of our state laws so that they can feel adequately protected. I normally support fewer laws, but in this case, it is the job of government to look after the public safety, health and welfare of our most vulnerable citizens. If our women are getting abortions because they didn’t know they had other choices, that is no choice at all.
